Eugene Burke is Director of Product Design and Innovation at SHL Group. His career includes service as a military psychologist with the RAF, United States Air Force and NATO, as well as setting up the Occupational Psychology Unit at the London Fire Brigade. He has consulted for a number of public and private organisations in the UK and overseas. His publications include articles and chapters on assessment, psychometrics, computer-based and online testing, training and competency design, decision making under stress and aviation psychology, including the Handbook of Pilot Selection.

Eugene is a pervious Chair of the Division of Occupational Psychology, British Psychological Society and he has previously served the British Psychological Society as Chair of the Steering Committee on Test Standards (1995-2000), as well as serving on various other Society committees and boards since the early 1990s. Eugene has served as a Council Member of the International Test Commission and as a Board Member of the Association for Business Psychology. He is the editor of People and Organisations @ Work that is published three times a year and has a circulation of 3,500.
